Accessories
There are nine accessories to the Hot Birds line. The Flight Deck, which is just the launching mechanism. The next step up is the Sky Solo Set which includes a plane.
The Joy Rider is a simple display stand and "flight simulator." The On Target Set includes one plane. The Air Race Set has two. The Control Tower Set has no planes and is surpassed by the Sky Command Set which is basically the same but has two planes. There is also a Sky Line & Hook Pack and a cool Collectors Case: A vinyl carrying case with two plastic trays holding a total of six planes.
I have dozens and dozens of these play set accessories. Regrettably, most were damaged by a flood. About one quarter survived with no damage. A Control Tower, a Joy Rider and all the Collectors Cases along with a few other sets. While these are all plastic play sets which aren't affected by water, they all have decals which are. And of course, the boxes and instructions were destroyed.
I loved and enjoyed playing with these planes as a child. But I never had any of the play sets at the time and have never actually "flown" the planes. However, I know several adult fans who have children and fly and play with them. So although I've never been a huge fan of the play sets, apparently they can be a lot of fun!
